FREE Halloween Ghost Craft | Character Traits & Classmate Compliments

A free Halloween ghost craft that helps students notice good qualities in their classmates.

Students move around the classroom and write positive character-trait adjectives on each classmate’s paper ghost. Each child ends with a ghost covered in kind words from the class.

What’s included

• A plain ghost template
• Decorative ghost template options
• A positive character-traits word list

How to use it

Cut out the ghost templates and place them on students’ desks. Let classmates rotate through the room, using the word list to choose positive adjectives for each person. Finish decorating the ghosts for an October classroom or hallway display.

For an extra guessing game, tape each ghost over its student’s picture or paper person. Read the adjectives and try to guess who is underneath!

Skills and uses

Practice adjectives, character-trait vocabulary, giving compliments, and building classroom community. Use it for a Halloween activity, morning meeting, or seasonal bulletin board. Younger students can participate with adult help.
